1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of www.vepict.com, including the author portal and the partner portal (together, the “site”). The site is operated by Pyroelectric Incorporated, which owns VEPICT. By using the site you agree to these terms. Use of the VEPICT platform itself, and participation in the partner program, are governed by separate agreements, which prevail over these terms for those matters.
2. Using the site
You may use the site for lawful purposes connected with learning about VEPICT, contacting us, writing for us if invited, or taking part in the partner program. You must not:
- try to gain unauthorized access to the site, other accounts or our systems, or probe, scan or test their vulnerability without our written permission;
- interfere with the site’s operation, including by overloading it or introducing malicious code;
- scrape or copy the site systematically, or use it to build a competing product or train machine-learning models, without our written permission;
- use the site to send unsolicited communications or to misrepresent who you are.
3. Our content
The text, graphics, dashboards, logos, whitepapers and software on the site are owned by Pyroelectric Incorporated or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and print pages, and save whitepapers, for your own internal business use, keeping any notices intact. VEPICT and TRANXACT are trademarks of Pyroelectric Incorporated; you may not use them without permission except to refer to our products accurately. Other names and logos on the site belong to their owners.
4. Author and partner accounts
Accounts are personal. Keep your password and second factor secure and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused. We may suspend an account to protect the site or other users. Authors grant Pyroelectric Incorporated a worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, edit, adapt and distribute the content they submit in connection with VEPICT, and confirm that they have the right to grant it and that the content does not infringe anyone’s rights. Partner portal use is also subject to the partner agreement.
5. What you send us
When you request a consultation or send us information, please do not include confidential information about third parties or sensitive personal data. We handle what you send as described in our Privacy statement. Ideas or feedback you send about VEPICT may be used by us without obligation to you.
6. Information, not advice
Content on the site — including case studies, whitepapers, industry examples, the data maturity challenge and illustrative “hidden in plain sight” patterns — is general information. Industry patterns are illustrations of what VEPICT looks for, not results promised for any organization; results depend on your data, systems and circumstances. Nothing on the site is legal, financial or professional advice, or an offer capable of acceptance. Specific capabilities and terms are set out in signed agreements.
7. Other websites
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
8. Liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of any kind about the site, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability arising from the site is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Pyroelectric Incorporated has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. We may update these terms; the version and date are at the top, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
