Frequently asked questions
The questions buyers actually ask — answered plainly.
How long it takes, what your team puts in, how an engagement is structured and priced, and which systems VEPICT connects to.
Time, effort and engagement
How long until we see results?
First insights typically arrive in 4–8 weeks. Discovery takes 1–2 weeks; connecting and modeling the systems behind your first question takes 2–4 weeks; the first dashboards and findings follow. Further domains are added in 4–6 week increments.
- Week 0
Briefing
20 minutes: your question and your systems.
- Weeks 1–2
Discovery
Scope one use case, its data and its success measure.
- Weeks 2–6
Connect and model
Connectors, entity resolution, governed definitions.
- Weeks 4–8
First insights
Dashboards, findings and a review with your team.
How much effort does our team need to put in?
VEPICT specialists do the build. Your team provides access, knowledge and decisions:
| Role | What they do | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Executive sponsor | Owns the question, unblocks access, joins the findings review | About 1 hour a week |
| Business owner | Defines measures and targets, validates the results | 2–4 hours a week |
| IT or data contact | Grants read access to the source systems and approves connections | 4–8 hours a week in weeks 1–4, then about 2 |
| Subject-matter experts | Explain how the process really runs | Two or three 60-minute workshops |
How is an engagement structured?
- Briefing (20 minutes, no charge): your question, your systems, whether VEPICT fits.
- Discovery (1–2 weeks): one business question, the data behind it and how success will be measured, written up as a scope with a fixed quote.
- First use case (4–8 weeks): connect, model and deliver the dashboards and findings, reviewed with your team.
- Scale: add domains, Ask AI, the knowledge graph, forecasting and optimization on the same governed data.
Work is delivered by VEPICT specialists or a certified VEPICT partner in your region.
How is VEPICT priced?
Two parts, both quoted before you commit:
- Platform subscription, licensed the way that suits you: either a percentage of annual revenue, which rises when you grow and falls in a hard year, or outcome-based, on the data VEPICT processes for you, measured in gigabytes.
- Implementation, scoped in discovery and quoted per use case, so the first one has a defined cost and a defined result.
Which systems does VEPICT integrate with?
VEPICT reads the systems you already run, through tested, stored connections. Commonly connected:
- SAP S/4HANA and ECC
- Oracle E-Business Suite and Fusion
- Oracle NetSuite
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Epic
- Oracle Health (Cerner)
- Infor
- Workday
- Salesforce
- ServiceNow
- UKG / Kronos
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Oracle Database
- PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Google BigQuery
- Amazon Redshift
- REST and SOAP APIs
- HL7 and FHIR
- IoT and historians
- Excel, CSV and files
If a system has a database, an API or an export, VEPICT connects to it. See the architecture →
Do we need to replace our existing systems?
No. VEPICT works on top of the systems you run today and reads from them; nothing is ripped out or migrated.
The platform
What is VEPICT?
VEPICT is a data and analytics platform with expert implementation that connects your ERP, CRM, EHR and operational systems and uses AI to show where to act. The name stands for Value-Enabled Process Intelligence & Cognitive Transformation.
How is VEPICT different from traditional reporting?
Reports show what happened in one system. VEPICT joins the systems, measures the process behind each outcome, and points to the step, supplier, customer or asset where time and money are lost — then forecasts what happens next and recommends the plan.
Does VEPICT use AI and predictive analytics?
Yes. Ask answers questions and builds dashboards from governed data; forecasting picks its method automatically and gives a prediction interval; optimization recommends product mix, staffing, stock and budget plans. Try the forecaster and optimizer →
Is VEPICT only for healthcare organizations?
No. VEPICT was proven in healthcare and public health and serves 28 industry sectors, from government, utilities and manufacturing to retail, logistics, financial services, telecom, education and nonprofits.
What is the organizational knowledge graph?
A connected model of your customers, suppliers, products, assets, people and places, built from the records your systems already hold. It shows what no single report can: one supplier under five names, care delivered with no claim, one approver every path passes through. How it works →
What is the difference between a KPI and a process performance indicator?
A KPI measures an outcome, such as days sales outstanding. A process performance indicator measures the work behind it, such as the lag between shipment and invoice. VEPICT measures both from the same data, so a red KPI arrives with the process that caused it. Read the whitepaper →
Where does our data live, and does AI train on it?
In the cloud region or data center you choose, and no — VEPICT never trains models on your data. Trust and security →
What to expect
What affects timelines and results?
Timelines and outcomes depend on the number and condition of the source systems, how quickly access is granted, the quality of the data, and how much of the process is recorded in systems rather than on paper. Discovery identifies these before anything is quoted. Figures on this site from the VEPICT demonstration are representative of a business of that shape, not any company's results; scenarios labeled as examples are illustrative.
