1. The three groups
Cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB) on this site fall into three groups. Only the first is used before you choose.
Strictly necessary — always on
These keep the site working and secure, keep partners and invited contributors signed in, and remember your cookie choice so you are not asked on every page. They cannot be switched off and are not used to profile you.
Analytics — only if you agree
First-party page views (which pages are read, for how long, from which device and roughly where) and, if we have configured it, Google Analytics. They help us improve the site. Nothing in this group is loaded until you accept it.
Marketing — only if you agree
Connects a campaign click to a later enquiry. It is off unless you switch it on, and stays off if you reject non-essential cookies.

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it fetches them.
3. Refusing, and changing your mind
Choosing Reject non-essential is a real refusal. No analytics record is written, no Google tag is loaded, and no identifier is used for tracking. Our server independently checks the decision it holds for you before it stores anything, so a page cannot record a visit by claiming a consent you did not give. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal automatically.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings, here or in the footer of every page. We keep a record of each decision — including refusals — with its time, page, IP address and browser string, to show that your choice is honored.
4. Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary storage, parts of the site — notably partner sign-in — will not work.
